Official Biography
Platform Hondo operates in the deepest water of any platform in the Santa Barbara Channel — a detail her team mentions less frequently now that it constitutes a legitimate talking point. Like Harmony and Heritage, Hondo was taken offline following the 2015 Refugio spill and was included in the March 2026 federal Defense Production Act restart order. Full production is expected by June 2026. Her wells have been building pressure for eleven years.

Hondo once drifted 0.003 feet during an unusually strong current event in 2014. This remains her personal record outside of race conditions.
